Our English school for international junior summer students in Limerick offers the perfect mix of English language learning, sports activities, cultural and educational trips. It's a great chance to learn about a new culture, enjoy the fresh Atlantic air, practice and improve English language skills and make new friends. Students can choose to stay on-site in residential accommodation or in an Irish host family. The dining hall is situated onsite with residential students provided with 3 hot meals per day while host family students are provided with a packed lunch and meals on a daily basis. English Classes take place in the morning with native English teachers. Local Irish students are mixed with international students during afternoon activities providing greater opportunity to speak English. Weekly half day tours are arranged around the city including trips to King Johns Castle. Weekend excursions are scheduled on the weekend to Ireland's top tourist destinations including the Cliffs of Moher, Doolin Cave and Lahinch beach.

Summer School Highlights

Villiers IB School Campus
Located in the heart of Limerick City, Villiers IB School is over 200 years old and is one of Ireland's top international boarding schools. Situated in a picturesque area of the city, the school is situated within a gated self contained campus. The spacious grounds include excellent sports facilities, a separate onsite residence for boys and girls, a dining hall for daily meals and modern classrooms with a capacity for over 600 students
Activity Programme
An exciting and fun activity programme has been designed to ensure students have a chance to learn new skills and try something different. Students rotate through a variety of activities from day to day with exciting half day tours each Friday and full day excursions to Ireland's top tourist destinations during the weekend. Activities include adventure sports like Kayaking, SUP and Wall Climbing, Arts and Irish culture like pottery making and Irish dancing and whole host of other activities to try including caving, cooking classes and Irish sports. Accommodation
Residential Stay
Fully refurbished and modern rooms. Boys and girls are placed in separate living blocks with 4 to 8 beds per dorm. Located on the school grounds. Full board provided including 3 hot meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner
Homestay
Homestay families are available for students that wish to fully immerse themselves in an English speaking environment. 1 nationality per family is our general policy unless requested otherwise. Host Families provide meals on a daily basis as well as a packed lunch for students. Those that wish to avail of the hot lunch at school for an added fee.
Self Catering
Groups or families that wish to stay in self catering accommodation may do so upon request. Self catering residences are located in the city centre 35 mins walk from the school. Apartments include single and en-suite rooms with a shared kitchen and living area. Transport to school is not included.
Dining and Nutrition
Villiers IB school comes equipped with its own catering service and dining hall. Catering is provided by the worlds leader in catering services, Sodexo. An excellent choice and variety of meals are available on a daily basis including vegan and vegetarian options. 3 hot meals are provided including breakfast, lunch and dinner. Lunch is the biggest meal of the day and is served at 1pm daily. Nutrition is at the heart of the well balanced meals prepared by chefs from locally grown produce all of which are Bord Bia approved (Irish Quality Mark)
